I have a dream. Promote and educate PEACE through the world wide language of Soccer, Football, Futebol, Fútbol, etc.
The dream started in 1979, after a short player carrier with the pro club Paulista FC in Sao Paulo – Brazil. As any teen around the world my dream was to play for the Olympic team of Brazil. I never had the opportunity to be educationally guided to this dream. The dream to become a player was replaced by becoming the best youth educator of the game. As an educator, I could provide the correct guidance to any child I could reach, and be able to explain the why, when and how of each concept of this beautiful game.
Since 1987 BFUT (Brazilian futbol) Institute of Soccer and the College of Soccer have been analyzing and observing the Brazilian philosophy of the game, through our methodology: short passes to build the attack from the back with quick attack from the back with quick counter attacks.
WHY WE CALL THE COLLEGE OF SOCCER A SUPPLEMENTAL METHODOLOGY?
We call it supplemental as we apply the Brazilian philosophy through our College of Soccer and supplement it by adding concepts that complement each other. The methodology focuses to improve the players intelligence, to recognize the best decision available under pressure. We believe in order to develop our players we must start from top down. We offer several different programs from adults through to our children. We have three institutions working together to provide the best-in-class services:
1. BFUT Pro management – Develop US players through the BFUT Soccer Academy to recommend for professional clubs or colleges
2. College of Soccer (non-profit): Educators gain coaching diplomas
3. IBF – Instituto Brasileiro de Futebol Brazilian (non-profit): that educate coaches in Brazil and prepare players for our professional club partner Matonenese in Brazil
Our holistic approach provides players with a pathway to apply their decision-making intelligence (mental speed). It emphasizes the significance of integrating the theoretical knowledge with practical game skills both at an individual and team level.
We guide athletes in achieving their goals whether it’s securing a college scholarship, becoming a professional educator or playing professionally. Additionally, we aim to develop high quality educators (coaches) to contribute to the growth of the game globally, particularly in North America, following the guidance of the USSF.
COLLEGE OF SOCCER
Each country has their own coaching licensing programs, offering different levels of diplomas. Our methodology helps Coach’s to become educators of the game. The educational methodology is applied throughout the College of Soccer Non-Profit Organization responsible to educate and prepare Coaches. A one-year coaching course offering three levels of diplomas
Level 3 – 40 hours of education
Level 2 – 80 hours of education
Level 1 – 120 hours of education offered in USA or Brazil
